Sand Kastle Builders is owned and operated by Joey Andrews III and his partner Nick Carava III. It was formed in late 2002 when one of the partners of Sand Kastle Homes decided to retire (Joey's father). Joey and his father started Sand Kastle Homes in 2008 with the plan to build spec homes in Concord Ridge (east on Marquette Woods Road in south St. Joseph). They are also partners in the development and have built 12 of the 15 homes in the subdivision. Their thoughts were, and still are with the SKB "A home is where you live, and community is how you live". Sand Kastle Homes made its' mark for quality at a reasonable price and outstanding customer service. "The new Sand Kastle Builders will maintain these standards of excellence and more", said Joey.

Nick has been and is still a Realtor who has been associated with the family's building ventures since 2002. "I represented Sand Kastle Homes for years and it was a pleasure to see how involved the customers are with the builder, and in each case the customer's hassle free building experience", said Nick, "I was thrilled when the opportunity was offered to join Sand Kastle Homes". We decided to transition from Sand Kastle Homes to Sand Kastle Builders with everything else they have been doing staying the same. Their best references are the families that they have built for in Concord Ridge. They encourage you, if you are thinking of building a new home, to drive through the community and stop and talk with any of their customers. "We know everyone we have built for is happy and we intend to keep them happy", said Joey. If you are thinking about building, you owe it to yourself to check Sand Kastle Builders out. Nick shared that many people who desire to build have one big obstacle in their way...they have to sell their home first. "If you are in this category, please give me a call. We have an opportunity that will yield you more money when you sell your home. In addition to special listing/selling terms, we offer all our new homes with a 5 year warranty, a real comfort cushion"

"Virtual Planning" is a new feature Sand Kastle Builders is implementing. "It will allow our customers to place their furniture into the plan rooms...it allows us to make sure our customers know what will fit and what won't...it's RIGHT SIZING your home"…Nick and Joey shared.

Joey said we spend a lot of time with our customers in planning their home before we put a shovel in the ground. Once construction begins and the framing is completed, we make sure we do walk-thru's with our customers. We typically will have some ideas about maximizing their plan, or "opening up" their floor plan. At this phase of the construction, wall changes are not "extra"...we want our customers happy. This is just one of the opportunities customers have to provide their input...at no charge. In addition, Sand Kastle Builders will provide several hours with an interior designer they have on staff. This service can be utilized during the Virtual Planning and the construction and finishing phase.

While Sand Kastle Builders will build on your lot, they have concentrated on Concord Ridge development. Concord Ridge is currently in Phase I, with several other Phases to be opened in the future. The community has plans for 150 total homes. There are three types of homes currently planned for in Concord: villa type (you maintain your lot), traditional type homes and luxury homes. There are lots with potential basement look-out windows, regular lots and POND LOTS (with fountain), where the majority have walk-out potential. For more information about Concord Ridge, please click the 'Developments' link above. The developers are currently discounting the lots and that, combined with the stimulus opportunities, makes this the right time to build.

If you are thinking about building your "sand castle", call either Joey or Nick...you really do owe it to yourself to give them a try.
